Red Wine Chronicles 6

I love Chicago. We just played our first show of the does this look infected anniversary tour in Chicago. I was a bit nervous because were paying songs we haven’t played in years. It’s our first tour of America in 8 years. And also playing songs we’ve never played at all ever. There was a lot to think about on stage that night. But it all came together perfectly and the crowd couldn’t have been better. We’ve been very fortunate with our audience. We never seem to have a bad one wherever we go. The most common interview question we get next to “what does sum 41 mean”? is what city has the best crowd? And I can never answer it because everywhere we go the crowds respond the same. It’s always over the top and exciting. Which makes us excited and fun is had by all! We had some friends fly in for the show which is always cool to have some moral support on the first show. And also makes for a great after party!

If you didn’t get to see any shows here’s what the set list looked like.

Awesome setlist, would love to see this one or similar in Czech Republic sometime in the future.

  2. I am a fan of Ganesha. That is the elephant looking statue. He is the remover of obstacles and I keep a Ganesha statue on my dresser.

I am glad you have been fortunate with audiences. I once went to a show at the Doug Fir Lounge. I went to see Yoav (yeah, you probably have no idea who he is lol) and he was touring with some dude who I guess was fairly well known and they flipflopped who would open and who would go on later. On this night poor Yoav had the misfortune of playing after the popular dude and what once was a packed room thinned to almost no one. I felt bad for him. He has never been back to Portland since…that I am aware of.

I look forward to catching one of your shows when you hit the road. It will be my first Sum 41 show.

That is a sweet dressing room. I regret I never got to go to any of your shows. I never got see to any shows honestly. My mom was really over protective, and since I didn’t learn how to drive until I was 18, her car determined where I did or didn’t go. She was afraid I was going to get kidnapped and/or addicted to pot haha.

Here’s hoping you guys get to Connecticut at some point so I can finally see your show!
